What are the Symptoms of Sexual Dysfunction?

The symptoms manifested by males and females with sexual dysfunction are different hence it merits separate presentation of symptoms.


  • Reduced arousal
  • Painful intercourse
  • Loss of libido and arousal
  • Inadequate vaginal lubrication and dryness
  • Absent or delayed orgasm


  • Delayed or absent ejaculation
  • Inability to attain an erection
  • Inability to maintain an erection sufficient for intercourse
  • Loss of libido
  • Reduced arousal

The symptoms are actually categorized to be sexual dysfunction when they cause distress to you and to your partner and your relationship in general. If the symptoms you experience do not trouble you and it is not causing any relationship problem it cannot be considered as a sexual problem. 6
