Suggestions for Munchausen by proxy

The family is the foundation unit of society. Whatever training the child gets from their families they will bring into society. Unfortunately, it is this very foundation that has been involved in events that ruin the bright future ahead of the siblings in the family. Oftentimes we have seen and heard children being molested by their parents. Likewise, children have been sold into slavery and abused by their parents who should be the one responsible for ensuring their future. Here are some suggestions on how Munchausen’s by proxy can be prevented.

  • Foster love and support in the family. Letting your children feel that they re loved and supported can give them peace of mind and free them from negative thoughts and feelings.
  • Foster a harmonious relationship within the family. Being there for your children and making them feel your presence can be helpful in the prevention of Munchausen’s by proxy. Allow them to open up their problems to you. By doing this, they will be able to release whatever feelings and hurts they are keeping inside.
  • Be a responsible parent. It is your job to give your children the best life that they can have. Sending them to the best school, providing them with money or cars is not enough. You need to show them that you love and care for them.
  • Be a role model. Give your children a reason for emulating you as a parent. If you are into drug trafficking, for instance, this is not a good way of being a role model to your children.
  • Spend quality time with your family. Ask about the concerns of your children. Find out how they are doing in their studies or in school in general. There should be plenty of room for communication between you and your children.
