What Causes Body Dysmorphic Disorder?

Several factors are attributed to the cause of Body Dysmorphic Disorder, although the main cause of Body Dysmorphic Disorder remains unknown. Researchers believe that Body Dysmorphic Disorder is caused by multiple factors similar to those that also cause other mental illnesses such as the following:
