What are the Symptoms of Binge Eating Disorder?

Feeling stuffed after a delicious meal or a feast during a special occasion will not mean that a person has binge eating disorder. Nor will a healthy appreciation of food necessitate diagnosis of this disorder. A combination of behaviors and feelings are usually involved. Here are some of the signs 5 of binge eating disorder:

  • Feeling loss of control when one eats
  • Eating unusually large quantities of food
  • Eating very fast
  • Eating until one feels uncomfortable or until one can no longer take another bite
  • Eating a lot even when not hungry
  • Feeling embarrassed about the quantity of food one eats
  • Feeling disgusted, depressed or guilty about overeating
