What Causes Alcohol Addiction?

Researches have found that it someone is predisposed to alcohol addiction if he or she has a family history of it. It is very likely that alcoholism will be developed if such a person chooses to drink. However, alcohol addiction can be worsened depending on the person’s environment and traumatic experiences in life. Environmental factors include peer pressure or influence, culture, family and friends, and how the person was brought up.
